Our Commitment to You

Privacy Policy

Effective date: May 17, 2026

Ramshaw Landscaping Inc. ("Ramshaw Landscaping", "we", "us", or "our") respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains what personal information we collect through our website at ramshawservices.com, why we collect it, how we use and protect it, and the choices you have. We operate in Calgary, Alberta, and handle personal information in accordance with Alberta's Personal Information Protection Act (PIPA).

1. Information We Collect

We only collect personal information that you choose to provide, or that is automatically generated when you visit our website.

Information you give us directly — when you submit our quote form, contact form, or reach out by phone or email, we may collect:

  • your name;
  • your phone number;
  • your email address;
  • the service address or general location of the property the work relates to;
  • details about the project you are asking us to quote or perform; and
  • any other information you choose to include in your message.

Information collected automatically — when you browse our website, our servers and standard web tools may record limited technical information such as:

  • your IP address and approximate location;
  • your browser type, device type, and operating system;
  • the pages you view on our site and the time you spend on them; and
  • the website or search term that referred you to us.

We use Google reCAPTCHA on our quote and contact forms to help block spam and abuse. reCAPTCHA collects hardware and software information (such as device and application data) and sends it to Google for analysis. Use of reCAPTCHA is subject to Google's Privacy Policy and Terms of Service.

We do not process credit card payments through this website and we do not collect payment card information online.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the information you provide for the following purposes:

  • to respond to your quote request, question, or message;
  • to prepare an estimate and discuss the scope of your project with you;
  • to schedule, plan, and carry out work you have hired us to do;
  • to send you follow-up communications related to your inquiry or project;
  • to keep records for accounting, warranty, and legal purposes; and
  • to improve our website and the services we offer.

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use it for unrelated marketing campaigns. If we ever want to use your information for a new purpose, we will ask you first.

3. Cookies and Analytics

Our website may use cookies and similar technologies to remember your preferences and to help us understand how visitors use the site. Most browsers let you refuse or delete cookies through your browser settings. Disabling cookies may affect parts of the site, but you will still be able to view our pages and contact us.

4. Sharing Your Information

We treat your personal information as confidential. We only share it in these limited situations:

  • Service providers — trusted third parties that help us run our business (for example, our website host, email provider, and form-protection tools like Google reCAPTCHA). These providers are only given the information they need to perform their work for us.
  • Subcontractors — if your project requires specialized trades, we may share the minimum information needed (such as a site address or scope of work) so the work can be completed.
  • Legal requirements — if we are required to disclose information by law, by a court order, or to protect our rights, property, or safety, or that of others.

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to anyone.

5. How We Protect Your Information

We take reasonable steps to safeguard the personal information in our care, including:

  • using HTTPS encryption on our website so information you submit is transmitted securely;
  • limiting access to personal information to staff who need it to do their jobs;
  • storing electronic records on access-controlled systems; and
  • securely destroying personal information when it is no longer needed.

No method of transmission over the internet or method of electronic storage is 100% secure. While we work hard to protect your information, we cannot guarantee absolute security.

6. How Long We Keep Your Information

We keep your personal information only as long as we need it for the purpose it was collected, or as long as required by law (for example, tax and accounting records). Quote requests that do not result in work are kept for a reasonable follow-up period and then deleted or anonymized.

7. Your Rights and Choices

Under Alberta's Personal Information Protection Act, you have the right to:

  • ask us what personal information we hold about you;
  • request that we correct information you believe is inaccurate;
  • withdraw your consent to our continued use of your information (subject to legal and contractual restrictions); and
  • ask us to delete information we no longer need.

To make any of these requests, contact us using the details in section 10. We may need to verify your identity before acting on a request. A small fee may apply for unusually large or repeated requests, and we will tell you in advance if that is the case.

8. Children's Privacy

Our website and services are intended for adults arranging landscaping, grading, excavation, or demolition work. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us personal information, please contact us and we will delete it.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices, technology, or the law. The "Effective date" at the top of this page tells you when it was last updated. We encourage you to review this page periodically.
